The Wagner's Gun Tech Story
Wagner's Gun Tech opened in 2015 to fulfill a key need for a gun shop in the Titusville area. Instead of shopping at the big box stores, the goal of Wagner's Gun Tech is to provide a service-oriented business where you can not only find the guns and accessories you need but get the knowledge and support from industry professionals. Today, the showroom has grown to sell new, used and personalized guns and the business provides key services such as Cerakoting and gunsmithing.
A Family Passion
Before Wagner's Gun Tech opened, owner Steve Wagner had already started collecting guns. A former Marine, Steve bought his first gun in 1987 when he completed his service. He had his Federal Firearms License (FFL), but mostly collected guns as a hobby. Also an accomplished hunter, Steve understands the kind of guns that would appeal to different kinds of people whether they were looking for something to shoot for fun or the perfect rifle for hunting big game.
Steve’s son Chad also turned a hobby into a business. He had a machinist background in high school and decided to go to gunsmithing school after graduating. Now a certified gunsmith, he has earned certificates for multiple different specialties. Chad is also a Factory Certified Cerakote applicator for Wagner's Gun Tech. As the only gun shop near Meadville to offer this, Chad will work one-on-one with you to perfect your gun, and he will work with you to make sure you’re happy with the final product.
The Start of the Gun Shop
The Wagner's Gun Tech building has a long history just like the Wagners’ passion for guns. In the 70s, the building was a motorcycle and snowmobile shop. Then it became a distribution and corporate building for Penn bank. Finally, it transitioned to a church building in the 90s until it went into foreclosure.
At that time, there were no other gun shops in the area offering a more personal experience. Steve operated his own roofing business but decided it was time to phase out of it. With over 30 years of experience as a gun collector and hunter, he bought the building along State Highway 27 and opened Wagner’s Gun Tech with his son Chad.
